Great Places to Shop….for food!
Groceries and shopping in North Norfolk
The most local place to shop for most things is Holt. There is a Budgens Supermarket for all your daily essentials and Larners Food Hall if you require something a little bit special - they have some excellent cheese. There is also Byfords which is a deli that also sells a range of ready to cook dishes.
For butchers we recommend P&S Butchers on Bull Street - feel free to tell Paul that you are staying at Briningham in the Jones' barns and he will look after you! Fish - head to Finns near the Post Office on Bull Street. Fresh Bread - there is a bakery in Briston that is excellent. Alternatively The Crusty Loaf on Bull Street in Holt. For fruit and veg head to Benbows on the High Street alternatively Budgens have a special local fresh produce aisle - with some excellent local fruit and veg which I personally recommend for quality.
Parking is often at a premium in Holt. You are best to park in Budgens – which unfortunately costs you – but you can get it back if you shop in the supermarket.
